Flash to iPhone Packager: Fears in a Conversation.

In-Game UX Design Considerations on the iPhone

Currently, I am working on an iPhone “port” of an unnamed but popular online game in which the player “runs,” “jumps” and “slides” on a continuously scrolling background with ever quickening pace.  With the nature of the device – and the speed at which the game can get, some design changes needed to be considered. AIR Window Shrinkage: Bug or Feature? (w/ video)

AIR Windows have a Shrinkage problem.

A little less than couple years ago I first noticed a small little issue with AIR windows. At first, I thought nothing of it. It didn’t really bother me because it wasn’t really noticeable. Then, a few months ago I started working on a little pet project that involved docking an AIR window to any side of the screen. That little issue that I noticed back in 2007 crept back up. “OK, there’s something wrong.” I told myself, then just stopped working on that project all together.

But today I was playing around with some windows in AIR and that same little problem was so noticeable I got pissed. AIR Windows shrink. Older AIR Windows (built on 1.5.3 and earlier) actually scale on both X and Y. WTF? So I asked the Twitterverse if it was a “bug” or a “feature.” There wasn’t a consensus but plenty of good feedback.
