LVFUG + Litl

June 26th, 2010

This past week (6/19 – 6/24) I was on a much needed vacation in Las Vegas. Since the Las Vegas Flash User Group had rescheduled their June meet-up to be within the time I was visiting, I decided to tag along with still recently appointed Adobe Platform Evangelist, Renaun Erickson, who was giving a presentation.

Now, I should say that Renaun was gracious enough to pick me up from the hotel, proving just how much of a stand-up guy he is. If you have never met him and are ever in the same area at the same time, try to grab a moment to at least say “Hi.”

While there, Terance Carroll, Tim Davis, and the rest of the LVFG were so welcoming that I felt right at home. The group that attended (30 in all) was a great mix of every skill level, all with their own specialties and excitement. It was great to hear everyone’s backgrounds and to see the enthusiasm coming from them all.

Terence is one awesome guy.

As an added bonus, Ryan Canulla and Brad Taylor of the Litl team were there to talk about and show off the Litl webbook. It’s a nice little device with a great opportunity. Plus, the price just dropped to $399. Ryan and Brad’s main reason for being there was to get people to sign up for developing for the Litl. Go and sign up. Should be fun.

Taking the few short hours to attend the Las Vegas Flash User Group meeting was a nice, fun part to a great vacation. If you are in or just visiting Vegas be sure to try to get to the User Group and meet Terence and everyone else.
