AIR Window Shrinkage: Bug or Feature? (w/ video)

AIR Windows have a Shrinkage problem.

A little less than couple years ago I first noticed a small little issue with AIR windows. At first, I thought nothing of it. It didn’t really bother me because it wasn’t really noticeable. Then, a few months ago I started working on a little pet project that involved docking an AIR window to any side of the screen. That little issue that I noticed back in 2007 crept back up. “OK, there’s something wrong.” I told myself, then just stopped working on that project all together.

But today I was playing around with some windows in AIR and that same little problem was so noticeable I got pissed. AIR Windows shrink. Older AIR Windows (built on 1.5.3 and earlier) actually scale on both X and Y. WTF? So I asked the Twitterverse if it was a “bug” or a “feature.” There wasn’t a consensus but plenty of good feedback. AIR, 10.1 and Mobile: Questions Galore

After writing this very lengthy comment on Brother Chuck Freeman’s (@ChuckStar) blog post responding to Brother Kevin Suttle’s (@kevinSuttle) excelent blog post regarding AIR and Mobile devices, I thought I should really post here on my own blog and #keeptheblogchainalive as Kevin says. There are a great deal of questions regarding AIR and Mobile devices, and I have had a few rolling around in my brain for some time.
